With over 20 years of experience in the waterproofing/caulking industry, Raunel possesses an exceptional combination of trade, supervisory and management skills. Raunel joined Waterproofing Specialties in 2001 and has completed over $80 million of work successfully. Some projects include the Duke Energy Tower, French Science Center, UNC Imaging Research Building, several hospitals and parking decks.
Cardiff Shea, LEED AP BD+C
Cardiff joined Waterproofing Specialties after several years with Balfour Beatty Construction. Cardiff is focused on the commercial construction market and has experience in estimating, value engineering, scheduling, real estate development, contract negotiation and project management. His previous clients range from Walt Disney World to Government Organizations. Cardiff’s educational background consists of a Master’s in Building Construction from the University of Florida and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance w/ Minor in Real Estate from the University of Central Florida. Cardiff has been a LEED Accredited Professional since 2006 and studied green building practices at the Powell Center for Construction and Environment at the University of Florida.
South Carolina Division Manager
Rob joined Waterproofing Specialties in 2006 after twenty nine years with general contractors J.A. Jones, McDevitt and Street, F.N. Thompson and Myers and Chapman providing preconstruction services in the Charlotte, NC commercial construction market. With experience in estimating, value analysis, scheduling, contract negotiation and sales presentations, Rob has first-hand knowledge of the specific needs of both general contractors and end users. During the past 6 years Rob has successfully sold and managed $17 million in the NC, SC and Va. areas. Rob’s educational background consists of Civil Engineering and Economics degrees from N.C. State University.
Estimator / Project Manager
Stephen Roman received his Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration, concentrated in Management from University of Central Florida. He has extensive experience in the construction industry, having grown from warehouse manager to sales, then to estimating/project management for many years in the Sunshine State. His specialties include waterproofing and restoration for commercial construction projects. Stephen is a member of the CGAC, and looks forward to his growth in the Carolinas and Virginia.
Tami officially joined Waterproofing Specialties in 2005 after working several years with Ron behind the scenes. With 20 years in the corporate world, keeping up with the administrative needs of Waterproofing Specialties has been rewarding. Since the specialty waterproofing contracting industry is going GREEN, a BS degree from Virginia Tech in Horticulture is finally being utilized. Tami is our degreed horticulturalist for all LEED Projects.
